Meet Neil Curry
A native West Virginian who began playing guitar at 14 and never stopped. Now based in Nashville, Neil is a performer, educator, and the heart behind the Curry Music Foundation.
The Story
Neil Curry earned a B.A. in Music from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Since graduation, he has played with many talented artists including Randy Breckner, Liz Nichols, Thump Daddy, Free Beer Band, Paris, Jamie O'Neal, and Marty Brown.
He toured in New Orleans with a jazz band, played for Governor Joe Manchin at Tamarack, and performed at a variety of local clubs, benefits, private events, and restaurants across the country.
Now based in Nashville, Neil frequently performs at popular venues such as Bourbon Street Boogie & Blues in Printer's Alley and is a favorite at Papa Turney's. His obvious jazz and blues influences create a unique style of guitar playing that few could duplicate.
Beyond performing, Neil is passionate about teaching and runs both private music lessons and the Curry Music Foundation nonprofit, which provides free lessons to underprivileged kids.
